After the Board/Coach/Committee meeting on Monday, November 9th , the following information was
discussed:
TEAM PARENT COMMITTEE:
PARENT’S: It is very important that you have your child to practice on time and pick them up on time. Parents
are allowed to watch the last 10 minutes of practice. We also feel that, Safety is very important when picking team
members up following practice, it is dark now for many practices. We stress that it is important for parents to be on time
when picking up children and come into the building when you arrive. No child will be allowed out into the dark to wander
through the parking lot. All team members are to remain in the Stars building at all times. Running to the Dollar Store or
Festival Foods is not permitted. All errands will need to be done prior to practice, open gym or other events held at the Stars
building. Parents need to return only 10 minutes prior to the end of practice.
We have bottle water and healthy snacks in the building for team members to purchase. Water $1.00 and snacks for $.50 to
help with the layovers of team members, money for the water and snacks will go into the “Change Bucket” for the end of the
year swimming party.
If your child is not going to be at practice, we ask that you please call – Denise Boedecker at 920-250-
2115 or Tamie at 920-470-2783, to avoid Team Parents making double phone calls, please contact
Denise or Tamie.
Staying at the Building during practice time:

We are also asking that team members staying at the building during other team practices bring
homework or something to do while you are at the building.

You need to remain in the front of the building located by the cubbies, trophies or in the locker room.
•
When your team is not on the mat or on the dance floor you may not sit, stand or run around in front of
the teams that are practicing. Team Parent’s have been asked to keep an eye on the team members who
are not practicing to make sure that they are not distracting any teams. For our younger team members,
we are asking anyone with Children Movies to play on the big screen to donate them to the gym.
(Thanks) I will look into bean bags and blankets to make it a little more comfortable for the kids to
watch a few movies while they are waiting.
PUBLICATION COMMITTEE:
Working on a COMPETITION PHOTO site. Pictures of our team members performing will be displayed for family and
friends. If you have any pictures or videos to donate, please send them to pneilson@att.net.
FUND-RAISING COMMITTEE:
If you have not worked your Packer Game, there is time to still put your name on one of the lists, just a reminder
that if you do not work a game, $100 will be added to your year-end statement.
Yankee Candles should be arriving next week, as soon as they arrive we will call you to pick your orders up.
Manderfield’s Cookie Dough ordering information will be handed out on November 22nd and will need to be
returned to the building with payments on December 6th.
Candy bars are still available for anyone to sell.
Looking for a few helpers on Friday, Dec. 4th to help with the Holiday of Wonder – Christmas Cookie decorating
which will be done this year at the Stars building. More information will be shared once we get the details.
Wooden Roses ordering form for Dinner/Performance will be handed out on December 20th and need to be
returned to the building on January 10th with payments. Roses will be ordered and ready for delivery on
Sunday, January 24th at the Dinner/Performance.
Pictures will be scheduled to be taken once all the uniforms have arrived and teams are set. We will keep you updated on a date. Season Linberg will be taking our photos and will have order forms for pictures and extras.
In April anyone interested in working at a Roller Derby event should contact Teena. We will have a signup sheet
in February and will call and remind those who sign up. It is a great time, work is easy and there is lots of fun to
be had!
BOARD NOTES:
It was decided with the winter months approaching, the gym will remain closed on Thursdays, Fridays and
Saturdays to keep the cost of heating down. We will do our best to keep the gym as warm as possible on
Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please have your child wear leggings and long sleeve t-shirts.
NO BLUE JEANS!
We will continue to hold tumbling, Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:00 PM, this will run through November.
The cost will be $8.00. Open gym will be moved to Tuesdays from 4:30 – 6 PM. Team members will have a
check off list that they will need to follow for open gym to include; warm ups, jumps, tumbling and
stunting. If you participate in Open Gym, you will need to be working!! This is also a good time for our
Stunt Teams and dance soloist and dance duets and trios to be practicing.
Nationals for the senior teams will be discussed at the January meeting, topics are; rooms, travel, team
parents and parents.
We will be contacting a Dance company and Cheer company to come to our organization and hold a clinic for
our coaches and team members. More information will be provided at a later date.
Dance team members – you need to get your payments in for your outfits. – Please check your
mailboxes for your uniform statements.
